Fat Positive Fertility with Nicola Salmon

I’m so excited to share my conversation with Nicola Salmon today. She is a fertility coach and activist for better fertility care for people of size. I’ve been following her work for a few years now - I first heard her on Amanda Laird’s podcast called Heavy Flow - obviously all about menstrual health and periods. I was so inspired by her passion for advocacy for a high level of health care at all sizes.

Today we are going to dive into some important topics around Fat Positive Fertility such as:

  • Some of the common myths surrounding fertility for fat folks
  • What the research says (and what it doesn’t say)
  • Why weight loss and dieting is not helpful
  • What people can do instead to help their fertility process
  • How people can advocate for better care.
  • Any much more

Nicola’s professional bio:
